How should medication be prepared for cat transport?
Medication travel planning should preserve the treatment plan your veterinarian has already established. Cat Valet can administer agreed prescribed medications according to written instructions, but drivers do not prescribe, diagnose, or independently change a dose or schedule. Prepare a clear medication packet
Make the written plan easy to follow.
Write the schedule
List the medication name, prescribed dose, method, timing, storage requirements, and any relationship to meals exactly as directed by the veterinarian.
Pack the supplies
Include the syringes, applicators, cooling or storage materials, food, or other supplies needed to follow the prescribed plan, plus enough medication for a reasonable travel delay.
Provide contingency contacts
Include owner, receiving person, and veterinarian contact information, along with written directions for what to do if the normal medication plan cannot be followed.

Changes go back to the veterinarian.

If travel requires a change in dose, timing, medication, or treatment, obtain that instruction from the veterinarian before departure. Cat Valet's role is to follow the agreed written plan, not create a new medical plan on the road.
